The concept of an Offshore Development Center (ODC) involves the setting up of a facility devoted to your needs at Excis's solution centers. In this model, all resources: technical teams, hardware, software, office space and any other resources required by you, are completely dedicated to you. You will have access to these resources on a continual basis and can choose to use them for whatever requirements you have.

Based on our experience with ODCs, we have developed a well-defined methodology that defines among other things:

• Initial planning, estimation and set up of the ODC in consultation with the client.
• Plans for physical and virtual security, firewalls.
• A "Get to know customer and projects" as a Knowledge Transfer exercise.
• Set up of specific technical and customer-related training for members of the ODC.
• Specific implementation and support methodologies.
• Continual status reporting and customer interaction processes.

4. Virtual extension of your IS group: Our ODC teams take advantage of the time difference to effectively give you a round the clock IS group. Tasks can be handed over by your in-house IS group at the end of the day for further work by the ODC team, making your entire IS group more productive.
5. Reduced management time. As the ODC team becomes familiar with your applications, we become much more proactive in supporting the needs of your end-users. Based on your guidelines, we can then work directly with groups of end-users to enhance/maintain your applications.
